End-of-life Brain Donation Can Support Medical Breakthroughs

LifeNet Health is offering patients in Northern Florida and Virginia the opportunity to make a difference at the end of life by donating brain tissue. This generous act will help support researchers who are working to develop much-needed treatment options for neurodegenerative disorders that affect millions of Americans. This is a wonderful way to help others and ensure a legacy of hope.

Patients may be eligible to donate brain tissue following a diagnosis with one of these neurological conditions:

  • Alzheimer’s
  • Parkinson’s
  • Dementia

Every donation counts as researchers work toward more effective therapies — and possibly a cure. Today Alzheimer’s affects 6 million Americans, and Parkinson’s affects 1 million. There is no cure for either disease, and treatment options for these leading neurogenerative disorders are limited.

There is no cost to a donor or their family to participate in this program. LifeNet Health is a nonprofit organization, driven by a mission to save lives, restore health, and give hope.
