Karin Frosio  - National Director, Donor Development

As a healthcare leader, Karin brings over 30 years of experience in the educational and healthcare sectors to lead LifeNet Health’s National Donor Development team. She has been with LifeNet Health since 2010, and is a valued consultant for the organization’s community partners. Karin is past board chair of the Jacksonville Transplant Alliance, served on the Board of Donate Life Florida and as the state chair for Workplace Partnerships, is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) North Florida Local Planning Council, and board member of LifeQuest, the regional OPO (Organ Procurement Organization).

Karin is an acclaimed compassion fatigue expert who has a passion for helping individuals and teams with work/life balance to better serve others. She has developed a broad perspective on the subject from her work with LifeNet Health, serving healthcare professionals across North America. Karin is a frequent speaker, who has inspired thousands through CE (Continuing Education) programs as well as regional and international conferences. The most frequent comment from her workshop participants is: “Everyone should be required to take this course!”

In addition to holding a master’s degree in health administration, Karin is also a proponent of emotional intelligence (EI) and is certified in EQi-2.0 and EQ360, a certified grief counselor and certified is in thanatology, in recognition of her expertise in the field of death and dying.
 

Lesley Garcia - Donor Relations Account Manager

Over the last 17 years, Lesley has served hospitals, funeral homes, medical examiners, and donor families with tissue donation and transplantation expertise.  She has worked for LifeNet Health since 2007.  As an Account Manager, she continues to oversee hospital and community relations, as well as donor program and partner development. Lesley believes every family should receive the option of donation and has consulted closely with Florida hospitals, increasing their donation conversion rates through best practices and professional education. She also has an extensive background in grief and bereavement as well as clinical procurement, providing valuable insight to LifeNet Health’s healthcare partners who serve to fulfill a family’s wishes to donate. Lesley serves as the membership director for American College of Healthcare Executives, North Florida Board.  She serves as a valued member of Baptist Women’s Board, Pensacola Chamber and Independent Funeral Directors of Florida. Lesley has a master’s degree in healthcare administration from University of West Florida.
 

Louanne White - Donor Relations Account Manager

Louanne is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist and has been with LifeNet Health since 2000.  She currently oversees the Donor Family Services department along with various administrative and community education functions for the Florida service area. Louanne serves on the board of Donate Life Florida and loves what she does at LifeNet Health.

 

 

 

Amy Wilson - Donor Relations Account Manager
 
Amy has served in the field of tissue donation and transplantation since 2007. In 2014, she partnered with LifeNet Health to continue serving hospitals, funeral homes, medical examiners and donor families. She believes in LifeNet Health’s mission of Saving Lives, Restoring Health and Giving Hope, and loves working for a company that serves their mission. Amy serves on the board for the Wolfson Children’s Challenge and the Jacksonville Transplant Alliance. She is a member of the American College of HealthCare Executives. Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Texas State University.
 

 

 

Lauren Ferguson- Donor Relations Account Manager

A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Lauren joined the Donor Development team in January 2019, with a focus on LifeNet Health’s placenta donor program and furthering the availability of tissue grafts to improve the quality of life. She began her career in the non-profit sector with a United Way chapter in North Florida and subsequently worked in Atlanta to develop fundraising efforts for autism research and awareness programs throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia and Louisiana. She returned to Jacksonville to develop programs that raise awareness and funding for local hospice programs and services in Florida.

 

 

Christopher M. Ayres  - Regional Manager,
                                              Tissue Recovery Operations
 
Chris is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist, Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator, and has worked in the transplant community for over 13 years. What originally started as a curiosity after graduation quickly turned into a career as he saw the positive impact donation has on recipients, as well as donor families.  Chris holds a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
